Complete visa information for Indian passport holders
Indian passport holders are eligible to apply online for Vietnam e-Visa for approved entry/exit points.
Indian passport holders need a visa for mainland Vietnam, and the easiest route is the official e-visa. It allows stays of up to 90 days with single or multiple entry, costs USD 25 (single entry) or USD 50 (multiple entry), and is normally issued in about three working days. The fee is not refunded if an application is rejected, so getting the details right first time matters.
Most delays come from small mistakes: a name that doesn't exactly match the passport, a blurry passport scan, a photo with glasses, or the wrong entry airport. The e-visa is linked to the entry and exit points you choose, so check your flight plan before applying.
Phu Quoc island is the one exception: you can stay up to 30 days without a visa if you fly directly to Phu Quoc from outside Vietnam and stay only on the island. If your trip also includes Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang, you need the e-visa. Vietnam has become one of the most popular new destinations for Hyderabad travellers, especially Hanoi with Ha Long Bay, and Da Nang with Hoi An.
