Complete visa information for Indian passport holders
Indian citizens may qualify for Turkey e-Visa only if they satisfy supporting visa/residence-permit and other official conditions; otherwise a sticker visa is required.
Indian ordinary passport holders generally require a visitor/tourist visa before travel; exemptions may apply in limited circumstances.
Türkiye (Turkey) has two visa routes for Indian passport holders. If you hold a valid US, UK, Ireland or Schengen visa or residence permit, you can apply for the Turkish e-visa online: it costs about USD 43, is usually issued within 24 hours, and allows a single stay of up to 30 days within 180 days. You must also carry a return ticket, a hotel booking and proof of funds.
Without one of those supporting visas, you need a sticker visa from the Turkish embassy, consulate or its visa application centre. It usually takes 10–15 working days and needs the standard documents: application form, two photos, bank statements for three months, a hotel booking for the whole stay, return tickets, travel insurance, and an employment letter or business registration.
Istanbul and Cappadocia are the classic combination, with many Hyderabad travellers adding Pamukkale or the Aegean coast. Turkey is also popular for destination weddings, which need careful planning for large groups. Your passport should be valid for at least six months from your date of entry.
