Complete visa information for Indian passport holders
Indian passport holders require a Singapore entry visa and normally apply through an authorised visa agent/local contact.
Indian citizens need a visa for Singapore, and it cannot be applied for directly by the traveller. Applications from India go through an authorised visa agent appointed by the Singapore mission (or through a Singapore citizen or permanent resident who acts as your local contact). The visa is issued electronically, and decisions usually take 3–5 working days. Singapore advises applying within 30 days of your arrival date.
Apply with the passport you will travel on: if you renew your passport after the visa is issued, the visa is no longer valid. The government fee is SGD 30, and agents add a service charge. A visa lets you travel to Singapore, but the immigration officer decides on arrival whether you can enter and for how long. Your permitted stay is emailed to you as an e-Pass.
Before flying, every visitor files the free SG Arrival Card within the three days before arrival. Singapore is a favourite for family holidays and short business trips from Hyderabad, and is often combined with Malaysia; remember that each country has its own entry rules.
