About the Saudi Arabia visa for Indians

India is not on Saudi Arabia's standard tourist e-visa list, but many Indian travellers still qualify for a fast route. If you hold a valid US, UK or Schengen tourist or business visa that has already been used at least once, or permanent residence in the US, UK or an EU country, you can apply for the Saudi tourist e-visa or get a visa on arrival. The e-visa is a one-year, multiple-entry visa, with a maximum of 90 days in Saudi Arabia during that year.

Everyone else applies for a visit visa through the Tasheer (VFS) centres in India, which involves an appointment, biometrics and document submission. Since mid-2025, visit visas for Indian nationals have generally been issued as single-entry visas valid for up to 90 days, with multiple-entry visas at the embassy's discretion. Health insurance is mandatory on all routes.

Umrah can be performed on a tourist or visit visa, but Hajj needs a dedicated Hajj visa through an authorised operator. In the weeks before Hajj each year, Saudi Arabia temporarily restricts some visit, Umrah and business visas, so check your travel dates with us before booking flights.
